This Festive Drink – A Recipe
WHere is a home-style interpretation of a cocktail featured on a new drinks list. It's a party-sized premix which is loaded with flavours associated with holiday season, which makes it perfect for hosting a celebration. Save the extra citrus syrup to use in morning drinks, puddings, or for more rounds of this cocktail.

Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
To prepare the Cordial: Place the listed items in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. After that, remove from the stove and leave to cool entirely. Decant into a clean bottle, seal and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about four weeks.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour all the spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through , ideally through cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the premix into a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir carefully for one minute until cold. Filter into an cold coupe glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
